The Complaint Department

The Complaint Department is a performance art installation consisting of one worker at a table, under a tent, noting the public’s “complaints” in a large leger. Complaints can vary from inane to legitimate and the installation aims to validation our day to day frustrations not to make any type of political statement. This is alike a pho bureau that hypothetically exist to to ensure all complaints/grievances/gripes/ and are recorded and recognized. Think something along the line of 5cents advice Charlie brown booth, but at no charge.

Bio
I have had many dreams and this one I have been working on for a few years. I want to create a place that people can come voice complaints. There is something so validating about being heard. My day job is as a social worker in a medical setting. My 2 kids have grown and flown the nest. This is my renaissance period. In this crazy world where there is so much suffering, I feel art and connection is the only way forward. I am happy to be invited to the PVD community and I hope the service I am providing makes one person feel seen and heard.
