Cypher Pressure brings the energy of the breaking cypher to PVDFest with eight invited breakers battling in a fast-paced 7 to Smoke competition. Featuring a live DJ, host, guest judges, and open cypher space, the activation invites audiences to experience breaking as both competition and community while celebrating Providence’s vibrant Hip Hop culture.

Bio:
The Park Studios is a Providence-based creative platform producing events, media, and experiences rooted in Hip Hop culture and community. Founded by Saulo Castillo and Janay Pina, The Park Studios creates spaces for artists to connect, compete, collaborate, and be celebrated. Its programming brings together dance, music, visual art, and media production while centering artists and communities of color. Cypher Pressure is The Park Studios’ curated breaking series in collaboration with All City Rockers Crew, bringing together standout breakers in a high-energy format that celebrates the competitive spirit, community, and culture of breaking.
