Join PVDFest and the businesses on Sims Ave for a summer camp style block party. There will be a stage at the Wilbury Theatre and pop-up events along the street at different times throughout the day. Summer Camp on Sims will feature a petting zoo, hot wing eating contest, adult tricycle races, big kid beer pong, a mini golf tournament, street art pop-ups, gigantic yard games, art vendors, live music and much more!

PVDFest in the Park: Summer’ZENd!
“Summer’ZENd! A Zen Live end of summer party featuring J-Dash and KNellz with the Zen Live band, as well as Santana and Cam! These artists perform original music, covers, improv live music.
Performers: James Krakue (J-Dash) & (Kevin Lannelli (Knellz) & Zen Live (Band)
J-Dash (@J_dash401) is a local multi-Instrumentalist from Rhode Island that mixes genres like R&B, Bossa Nova, Funk, Rock, and Rap. Knellz (@knellzri) is a local lyrical rapper that has lines for every occasion. Zen Live (@zenliveri) mixes a fusion of the various genres of music with live on-the-spot musical improv worked into every performance. Zen Live includes James on the guitar, Ryan on the drums, Mike on the keyboard and Nate on the bass.
Archive Remix Film Festival
The Rhode Island Historical Society, in partnership with LittleFire, is pleased to present its first annual Archive Remix Film Festival. This event begins Friday, September 10, and will present an hour-long program of 3-minute creative remixes by local filmmakers using materials from the RIHS Moving Image and Audio Collections (MIAC).

Haus of Codec partners with PVDFest to host their LGBTQQIA+ Art Marketplace and Concert! The event will feature 30 local queer artists and community focused organizations. The event will also support Haus of Codec’s mission to build and sustain a network of youth shelters, geared to support homeless or displaced LGBTQQIA+ identifying members of the community. PVD World Music African Film Festival
The African Film Festival features shorts films and featured films produced by African filmmakers from Africa and African Diaspora. The festival will include traditional African music and dance performances.
PVD World Music African Film Festival is a celebration of the rich culture and creative heritage of people of African descent that call Rhode Island home. Additionally, the festival will be screened on a forty-foot wide projector screen and audio transmitter system, which will enable the audience to screen the films safe from Covid-19 in the confines of their vehicles.
This event is part of the mission of the PVD World Music to celebrate, promote and preserve traditional music and art of peoples of African Descendent here in Providence, RI.
