I’m a guitar driven singer-songwriter, solo act who blends folk, pop and soul into feeling and healing music.

Native son to small and mighty Rhode Island, singer-songwriter Ike Dee creates music evocative of his roots. Typically performing solo with his trusty acoustic guitar, his repertoire of tracks deliver powerful messages about life, love, and the endless journey towards finding happiness; each verse imbued with Ike’s persistently hopeful spirit. Growing up in a musical household, Ike’s introduction to a diverse assortment of genres, from 1960s Americana folk to nostalgic ‘90s R&B, is palpable in the music he writes today. Ike has music in his blood, learning his first guitar chords from his talented mom at 18, who continues to influence his songwriting today. Inspired by his family and experiences of fatherhood, Ike’s songs are ones of lessons learned and struggles overcame: a collection of lived wisdom and experience to be intimately imparted on his audience and perhaps one day his son. His drive towards musical creation led him from frontman in a folk rock band in his 20s, to releasing a self-produced EP entitled Sad Boy Vol: 1 in the early months of 2020. He’s currently working on a second EP scheduled to be released late summer 2024.

Well-versed and well-known in an assortment of venues across the state of Rhode Island, Ike’s music maintains its impact whether he delivers it on a crowded patio, a wide open festival field, or a dark, moody stage. His expert fusion of memorable folk-pop melodies combined with smooth, soulful vocals makes his music cross-generational and timeless. Mix the profound songwriting of John Mayer with a dash of wistful Maxwell, and a voice nearly indistinguishable from Leon Bridges, and you’re starting to get a taste of Ike Dee’s musical offerings. Simply stated, Ike Dee is effortlessly, “one smooth motherfucker” according to local legend and Galactic theater owner, Sasquatch. Whether tugging at your heartstrings with one of his amorous love songs, or bringing tears to your eyes with his recounts of past regrets, Ike Dee’s music is made to make you feel – deeply and unabashed.
