The Guatemalan Center of New England’s Folkloric Dance Group celebrates Guatemala’s rich cultural heritage through traditional dance, music, and colorful attire. During the PVDFest Parade, the group will showcase vibrant dresses featuring Guatemalan landscapes and cultural references, transforming each piece into a visual celebration of the country’s history, traditions, and identity. Their participation will bring the color, beauty, and spirit of Guatemala to the streets of Providence while sharing their culture with the broader Rhode Island
The Guatemalan Center is an organization dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and sharing Guatemalan culture while strengthening and connecting communities across New England. Through cultural events, arts and education programs, community engagement, and leadership opportunities, the Center creates spaces where Guatemalans can celebrate their heritage and people of all backgrounds can experience the richness and diversity of Guatemala.
