Bio
Founded in 2016, Caporales San Simón New England is a Bolivian folkloric dance organization and a filial of the Fraternidad Folklórica y Cultural Caporales Universitarios de San Simón Cochabamba, Bolivia. This organization is dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and sharing Bolivia’s rich cultural heritage throughout New England through the art of Caporales.
Caporales is a dynamic Bolivian dance known for its powerful rhythms, elaborate costumes, energetic footwork, and vibrant choreography. For the dancers of San Simón New England, each performance represents months of dedication, practice, and pride in their cultural roots. As the organization enters its 10th year as a filial in 2026, Caporales San Simón New England continues its mission of preserving tradition, building community, and sharing the heart of Bolivia with New England.
