Justice Cow songs bursts out like a plow truck ramming through a pile of snow!
Justice Cow (aka Jessica Kion) makes indie rock for fans of Wednesday, Big Thief, and Sufjan Stevens with unflinching songs about grief, community, and the things that keep you up at 3am. Based in Providence with over a decade of touring across the US and abroad, and a frequent collaborator within the local scene (plays with Nova One, Kit Orion, and Ben Levin). Jcow has just finished tracking their next full-length album, due later this year.
Jess has taught clinics at their alma mater Berklee College of Music, teaches a weekly songwriting workshop at Brown University, collaborated with Boston Conservatory’s Percussion Department, teaches a songwriting workshop at Little Nice Studio in Lincoln, RI and spent three years at New Urban Arts as the Resident Artist Mentor of Music. Justice Cow was nominated for “Artist of the year” for the 2026 Motif awards.
