Off the Wall
Got a weird, wonderful, or wildly interactive idea? Artists, creators, and community groups are invited to help turn the streets of PVDFest into a playground of creativity.
We’re especially interested in engaging, interactive ideas that may not fit on a traditional stage or in the performance portal, projects that invite participation, spark creativity, and highlight the spirit of the Providence community. Ideas should be artist-run, with creators bringing all materials and setup items needed for their experience.
If you’re a nonprofit interested in connecting with PVDFest, we’d love for you to check out our sponsorship page! This form, however, is just for artists sharing creative project ideas.
What We’re Looking For:
- Interactive experiences that engage festival attendees
- Ideas that do not require electricity
- Artists must be able to bring and manage their own materials and setup
- Experiences that can fit within a 10’ x 10’ space (if you need a different size, please include details in your proposal)
Got a fun, quirky, or unconventional idea? We want to hear it.
Bring us your creative, unexpected, or wonderfully weird idea, and our team will follow up! Think spontaneous dance party in an alleyway, puppets in the park, pop-up games, participatory art, strange little performances, or playful street activities.
Things to Keep in Mind:
- No electricity available
- Artists must provide their own supplies and materials
- Programming hours for these activations will be 12:00pm – 6:00pm on September 19
- Selected projects may receive up to $500 in funding. Proposals should be designed with this budget in mind.
Check back on March 16.
