The once elementary/ middle school, Asa Messer/ Bridgham located in Providence RI now temporarily closed for the time being is known to the skateboard community as a nationally recognized skateboard destination for skateboarders. The granite branches that are at the front entrance serve as a great obstacle to preform various skateboard maneuvers. Kenny plans to install those historic benches along with a ground mural talking about its importance at the rink during PVD Fest while offering a free skateboard jam with opportunity to win prizes.
Kenny is an artist focusing on video and film documenting Rhode Island skateboarding. Kenny is a Rhode Island native and a proud member to the skateboard community in Providence. He has advocated for the skateboard scene with his involvement with The Friends of Adrian Hallway a non-profit that worked with the city of providence to turn a “skate spot” to a skate park through the parks department. Kenny continues to bring the diverse skateboard community together by organizing countless skateboard community events and filming skate videos and hosting video premiere.
