Welcoming Rhode Island Festival (WRIF) Dorcas International

Dorcas International is bringing their annual Welcoming Rhode Island Festival (WRIF) to this year’s PVDFest. This family-friendly event celebrates Dorcas International’s mission to welcome and support all newcomers across RI while honoring Immigrant Heritage Month and World Refugee Day.  WRIF 2019 will features international performances, a Maker’s Market of unique artisanal creations, and a powerful photographic installation. There will also be an official naturalization ceremony where individuals will take the Oath of Allegiance and receive a Certificate of Naturalization, completing the process of becoming a United States citizen.

The festival will be located in Burnside Park on Saturday, June 8 from 12PM to 6PM.
