PVDFest is returning to Downtown Providence, and we’re thrilled to celebrate with you once again! Join us on Friday, September 6 from 5 PM to 9 PM, and Saturday, September 7 from 12 PM to 8 PM, for an incredible weekend of art, culture, and community. As we prepare for the festivities, we want to keep you informed about street closures, no-parking zones, and other important details.
BIKING
We encourage attendees to bike to the festival. Bike racks can be found in various locations downtown. Don’t have a bike? Try renting one through Spin- more info below. Find biking directions to the heart of the Festival using the following address in your GPS: 1 Kennedy Plaza, Providence.
DRIVING/CARPOOLING
PVDFest takes place in Downtown Providence, in and around the Kennedy Plaza area. Please be aware that there will be multiple street closures- full list here [link transpo pag website]. Use the following address in your GPS: 1 Kennedy Plaza, Providence.
Plan ahead for traffic or consider an alternate mode of transportation!
RECOMMENDED PARKING
Conveniently located a short walk away from PVDFest, the Providence Place Mall Garage is available for parking throughout the festival weekend. Rates vary depending on your stay. Additional paid parking can be found at various downtown lots and garages.
RIDE SHARE APPS
Due to street closures and local traffic, if you plan to use a ride share app to visit the Festival, we recommend the following drop-off/pick-up addresses:
- 75 Fountain St, Providence, RI 02903
- 150 Empire St, Providence, RI 02903
These addresses will take you within a 2-5 minute walk of the footprint and help you avoid anticipated traffic.
BUS

Spin (bike and scooter rentals)
PVDFest is partnering with Spin for the festival weekend! Spin bikes and scooters cost $1 to unlock and a per-minute fee thereafter. Use the promo code: PVDFEST2024 for the best pricing! Users can check the Spin app for additional information. Please note, bikes and scooters are not allowed inside the footprint but are a fast and convenient way to navigate to and from the Festival.

On Thursday, September 5 the following streets will be closed and designated as no-parking zones:
- Exchange St between Washington St and Fulton St will have one lane (closest to Kennedy Plaza) closed on Thursday 9/5 at 5AM. Starting Friday Sept 6th at 5am, both lanes will be closed through Sunday 9/8 at 10PM
- East Approach will be closed on Thursday 9/5 at 5AM – Sunday 9/8 at 11PM
