Inspired by Mayor Jorge Elorza’s signature PVD Young Makers initiative, teams of youth led by Fab Newport will imagine and prototype solutions to education, health, transportation, recreation and other community needs while convening for a two-day intensive held during the festival weekend. Participants will be challenged to devise ways in which they can contribute to “Making a Kinder Providence.” They will present their ideas to a panel of local leaders, sponsors, mentors, and the public on Sunday, June 9.
