As PVDFest 2019, we are looking to fill the following positions:


Zone Manager (5 openings)

The Zone Manager is responsible for/must have:

    • Assisting artists performing in PVDFest 2019
    • Managing audio concerns and performance times for multiple stages at once
    • Assisting any production crew members and/or managing volunteers who assist with production needs
    • Attending 5 (five) festival meetings with the operations and production teams
    • Exemplifying excellent management and communication skills
    • Perform management duties within the assigned zone on Saturday June 8th and Sunday June 9th
    • Showing a respectful and amicable attitude towards all people involved with the festival
    • Assisting with setup and breakdown of PVDfest
    • Responding to communications before and during the event, including e-mail, telephone, handheld radio etc.
    • Other duties at the discretion of the Director(s), and/or Producer(s).

Food Village Production Assistant

Food Village Production Assistant is responsible for/must have:

    • Good understanding of customer service practices
    • Proficient in verbal and written English language – bilingual a plus
    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with vendors, peers and management
    • Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to vendors and remaining flexible to the needs of the festival
    • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
    • Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing and standing for consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling and crouching
    • Customer service focus
    • Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
    • Available to work in a fast-paced, festival environment alongside public safety officials

Festival Merch Sales Associate

Festival Merch Sales Associate is responsible for/must have:

      • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
      • Proficient in verbal and written English language – bilingual a plus
      • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers and management
      • Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
      • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
      • Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing small ladders

PVDFest Festival Survey Street Team Captains and Ambassadors

 

PVDFest is currently looking for Festival Survey Street Team Captains and Ambassadors

interested in connecting with community members across Providence to discuss the City of Providence’s signature summer festival’s impact on the city’s culture and economy.

The ideal candidate(s) is an outgoing, energetic person. Strong multilingual communication skills (Spanish, Portuguese) are desired. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, polite, and capable of interacting with festival-goers. Candidate should also be able to be comfortable standing for extended periods of time.

 Ambassador Responsibilities

Street Ambassador responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Attending PVDFest for an assigned shift;
  • Conducting a short survey to collect feedback on specific questions;
  • Bringing feedback from the community back to PVDFest to inform future festivals.

 Captain Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, responsibilities of Captains include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring all promotional materials and survey equipment are brought to and from each assigned location;
  • Oversight of each deployment, ensuring Ambassadors know about and attend their assignment;
  • Collecting surveys and reports from Ambassadors and submitting them to PVDFest staff.

Ambassadors will be paid $12.00 per hour; Captains will be paid $15.00 per hour
