For the past 20 years, CommunityMusicWorks (CMW) has been transforming the lives of children, families and musicians in Providence through music education and performance. CMW celebrates the culmination of its 20th season on the finale day of PVDFest by inviting violin virtuoso Johnny Gandlesman from the Silk Road Project along with multi-instrumentalist Gonzalo Grau and his nine-piece salsa band La Clave Secreta to join CMW faculty, students and alumni in a reprise of “Fantasía con Guayaba Habanera.” Read more about Community MusicWorks at www.communitymusicworks.org.

This very special performance is presented as part of the Cranston Street “Armory Animated by Art” project, a joint initiative of Providence Dept. of Art Culture + Tourism and FirstWorks opening up new conversations about the past, present, and potential future uses for the famous castle in Providence’s West End.
